Description: Rosa Porrino granite is a commercial name for a medium to coarse-grained, pink granite of the Carboniferous period. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite and in the area of application of the European Standard this stone must be nominated as a granite. Ideal for both interior and exterior use, Rosa Porrino granite is frost free and polish constant. The veining and colour varies little and a small sample is usually representative of the whole slab however there are several different quarries therefore large projects and matching ensure all the raw material comes from the same quarry.

Granite: Granite is a common and widely occurring type of intrusive, felsic, igneous rock. Granites are usually medium to coarse grained, occasionally with some individual crystals larger than the groundmass forming a rock known as porphyry. Granites can be pink to dark grey or even black, depending on their chemistry and mineralogy.
