Golden Silver Granite
Return to granite samples page.
Location: Golden Silver granite is quarried in Brazil.
Description: Golden Silver granite is coarse-grained with a light-coloured background patterned by darker intrusions ranging from golden yellow to black. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite but in the area of application of the European Standard we are awaiting clarification.
The veining and colour varies considerably and a small sample of Golden Silver granite may not be representative of the whole slab therefore swatch samples must be approved for large projects to ensure that the blocks are all extracted from the same quarry face for matching purposes. Ideal for both interior and exterior use, Golden Silver granite is frost free and polish constant.

Granite: Granite is a common and widely occurring type of intrusive, felsic, igneous rock. Granites are usually medium to coarse grained, occasionally with some individual crystals larger than the groundmass forming a rock known as porphyry. Granites can be pink to dark grey or even black, depending on their chemistry and mineralogy.
