Synonyms: Brass Blue, Bros Blue, Dynamic Blue

Location: Bross Blue granite is quarried near Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. Large blocks in quantity are available.

Description: Bross Blue granite is a medium-grained, green-grey to blue gneiss. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite. For the US and Chinese market this is correct but in the area of application of the European Standard this stone must be nominated as gneiss. Ideal for both interior and exterior use, Bross Blue granite is frost free and polish constant.

Mineral Composition:

Gneiss: A common and widely distributed type of rock formed by high-grade regional metamorphic processes from pre-existing formations that were originally either igneous or sedimentary rocks. Gneissic rocks are usually medium to coarse-foliated and largely recrystallized but do not carry large quantities of micas, chlorite or other platy minerals. Gneisses that are metamorphosed igneous rocks or their equivalent are termed granite gneisses, diorite gneisses, etc.
