Synonyms: Indian Black Pearl Granite

Description: A medium to coarse-grained syenite with a touch of green. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite however in the area of application of the European Standard (EN) this stone must be nominated as syenite.

Syenite: Syenite is a coarse-grained intrusive igneous rock of the same general composition as granite but with the quartz either absent or present in relatively small amounts (<5%). The feldspar component of syenite is predominantly alkaline in character (usually orthoclase). Plagioclase feldspars may be present in small quantities, less than 10%.

First Choice material will have no white lines or veins. This material may vary considerably depending from which face of the quarry it is sourced.
General Usage for Indian Black Pearl Granite It is mainly used for flooring, cladding, kitchen counters and table tops. It looks best when it is glossy however it hones and flames well. Available in both slabs and tiles.
