Description: A fine-grained, intensive black gabbro. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite however in the area of application of the European Standard (EN) this stone must be nominated as gabbro.

Gabbro: A dark-coloured, coarse-grained intrusive igneous rock. Gabbro is very similar to basalt in its mineral make up. It is composed mostly of the mineral plagioclase feldspar with smaller amounts of pyroxene and olivine.

Description of Shanxi Black Granite	A fine-grained, intensive black gabbro. There are several sorts and qualities including varieties with gold spots and the Commercial Quality Shanxi Black "B". First Choice material will have no gold spots or veins. Lower cost Shanxi Black may have gold spots or not able to take a gloss polish.
General Usage for Shanxi Black Granite	It is mainly used for flooring, cladding, kitchen counters, table tops and memorials. It looks best when it is glossy. Available in both slabs and tiles.
