Description: A fine-grained, dark grey quartzdiorite of the Precambrian period.
Quartz diorite: Quartz diorite is a medium to dark grey, medium to coarse-grained intrusive rock. It consists mainly of plagioclase feldspar, some quartz, and abundant dark minerals (roughly a third). The dark crystals are usually hornblende and biotite, with minor pyroxene.
